Meet Willow, a German Shepherd who recently entered our care. Her story is heart-wrenching and her condition distressing, but please be assured she is receiving the very best care with us now. Your support allows us to do this and we hope you will, once again, support us now.
Having been found as a stray, her poor condition is obvious. She is severely underweight, with every rib distinctly visible under what remains of her fur. Her skin tells another painful story—covered in sores and with considerable hair loss. Without any knowledge of how she ended up in such a state, we dread to think how her story might have ended had she not been found and made her way to us.
Despite her physical pain, she is already showing what a gentle and sweet soul she is, showing true trust in humans despite what must have been a harrowing time for her. Willow is finding joy in simple activities like playing ball and receiving comforting cuddles, she knows she is safe now in the hands of the Jerry Green team. Witnessing her resilience in the midst of such pain is truly incredible, we have all fallen in love with her already.
Willow's road to recovery will be lengthy and costly. She will be closely monitored by our vets, and we will ensure she gets the vital nourishment she so desperately needs. She will be receiving regular medicated baths in a bid to heal her skin and ease her discomfort. But she may need more specialised care for her skin condition, we shall take the advice of our vets on referral to a skin specialist
We will give Willow the love and care she deserves, it is what we exist to do, but we cannot be there for Willow and all the other dogs who need us, long into the future, without your help.
Your donations will contribute to essential veterinary care, nourishing food, and a comfortable environment where Willow can heal and regain her strength. No dog should ever feel alone or experience pain, and Willow is no exception.
We understand times are tough for everyone, but if you can, please consider supporting Willow’s treatment and the ongoing care for all our dogs, including those who are yet to come through our doors. Thank you.
